Police Equestrian Unit to Debut at artSHOW

At Beverly Hills' biannual artSHOW Sunday, there will be more than art to look at.

Horses will be part of the scene, as the Beverly Hills Police Department rolls out its  Equestrian Honor Guard Detail to the community.

The detail was created recently, according to a BHPD Nixle alert, to be on hand for the city's centennial celebrations.

Officers are providing their own horses, which have been trained by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for urban environments and are state-certified.

The detail will be at the corner of Canon Drive and Park Way from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Police Officer Association booth.
