Police Blotter: Stolen Goods and Sour Love

Also, a youth reportedly shoots two people multiple times with an Airsoft pistol.

Two stores were the target of thieves in this blotter set. A young, handbag-stealing duo made off with five grand worth of goods, while another thief successfully snatched a $50,000 piece of jewelry.

Wilshire assault

Between 10-11 a.m. on Nov. 15, a verbal argument escalated into physical violence on the 8500 block of Wilshire Boulevard. The suspect struck another person, causing several open-skin wounds on the victim's hands.

No receipt

Between 6-7 p.m. on Nov. 15, a woman stole merchandise from a store on the 200 block of South Beverly Drive. The brown-haired suspect, described as being 25 years old, 5-feet, 4-inches tall and weighing 135 pounds, selected numerous items to purchase and concealed other items while the store clerk was helping her. She then fled with $624 worth of goods.

Alarmed

Around noon on Nov. 16, someone attempted to break into a residence on the 300 block of South Weatherly Drive. The culprit forced open a bedroom window with an unknown pry tool and fled after activating the home's security system.

Hammer time

At about 10 p.m. on Nov. 16, someone tried to steal a bicycle on the 100 block of North La Cienega Boulevard. The would-be thief attempted to hammer off the bike lock, which was secured to a post.

Ex-lovers' spat

At 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 16, an altercation occurred at a restaurant on the 200 block of North Canon Drive. A 51-year-old female described as weighing 115 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes confronted her soon-to-be ex husband while he was dining with another person.

Rear window

Between 9 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. on Nov. 17, two men broke into a home on the 200 block of South Maple Drive. The suspects gained entry through the backyard and then broke open a rear window, allowing them to unlock the rear door. Both men were described as being 20 years old and 5-feet, 10-inches tall.

Gotaway

At about 3 p.m. on Nov. 17, two teenagers stole merchandise from a store on the 300 block of North Rodeo Drive. The thieves entered the shop, snatched four handbags worth a total of $4,855 and bolted to a waiting car that was double parked outside. The suspects were both described at being 15 years old with black hair and weighing 140-150 pounds.

Grinch

At about 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 17, a man stole a piece of jewelry worth $50,000 from a store on the 400 block of North Bedford Drive. The brown-haired, brown-eyed thief asked an employee to remove the pricey item from the display case, then fled with it while the employee was distracted. The suspect is described as being 30 years old, 6-feet, 1-inch tall and weighing 225 pounds.

Child's play?

Between 4-6 p.m. on Nov. 17, a male juvenile used an Airsoft pistol to shoot two victims several times on the 100 block of North Stanley Drive.
