Police Blotter: Ransacked Homes

Also, someone tried to break into a bank by smashing a plastic cone against the building's glass doors.

Four homes were ransacked in this blotter set. Two of the crimes took place on the 9200 block of Alden Drive.

Cheater?

At about 2 p.m. on Aug. 22, an assault took place on the 8700 block of Charleville Boulevard. A person was scratched and bitten during an argument over infidelity. The victim sustained visible injuries.

Ransack No. 1

Between 4:30 and 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 22, someone forced open the inside door of a residence on the 700 block of Trenton Drive. The master bedroom was ransacked and property was stolen.

Cone zone

During the night of Aug. 22, someone tried to break into a bank on the 100 block of South Beverly Drive. A man threw a hard plastic cone at the bank’s glass doors in an attempt to enter the location.

Uprooted

Shortly before 7 a.m. on Aug. 23, someone smashed a flowerpot into the front glass door of a business on the 100 block of South Beverly Drive.

Store theft

Between noon and 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 24, merchandise was stolen from a store on the 9600 block of Wilshire Boulevard. A loss of $3,850 was reported.

Dressed to steal

At about 3 p.m. on Aug. 25, a man wearing a construction vest removed property from unoccupied offices on the 9100 block of Wilshire Boulevard. He fled the scene when confronted. A loss of $450 was reported.

Ransack No. 2

Between 6 p.m. on Aug. 26 and 1 p.m. on Aug. 27, someone pried open the sliding door of a home on the 200 block of North Wetherly Drive. The master bedroom was ransacked and $7,600 worth of property was stolen.

Ransack No. 3

Between 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 27 and 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 28, someone entered a locked, unattended home on the 9200 block of Alden Drive. The residence was ransacked and $6,000 worth of property was stolen.

Ransack No. 4 

At 2 a.m. on Aug. 28, someone forced entry into an apartment on the 9200 block of Alden Drive. The rooms were ransacked and $12,000 worth of property was stolen.
