Police Blotter: Drive-by Slapping, Coffee Attack and Gunpoint Robbery

Also, a laptop is reported stolen from the trunk of an unlocked car.

Looted

During the day of Jan. 17, a home on the 900 block of North Bedford Drive was ransacked.

Trunk access 

Sometime between 4:30 and 9 p.m. on Jan. 17, property was stolen from an unsecured vehicle on the 400 block of North Rodeo Drive. The victim said that someone went into the unlocked car, popped open the trunk and stole the laptop that was inside. A loss of $1,550 was reported.

Sticky fingers 

Between 3:30 and 4:15 p.m. on Jan. 19, merchandise was stolen from a store on the 9600 block of Wilshire Boulevard. A loss of $1,005 was reported. 

Drive-by slapping

At 6:45 p.m. on Jan. 19, a man slapped a woman’s buttocks as he rode his bicycle past her on the 8400 block of Gregory Way. 

Coffee attack 

Shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 21, an assault occurred on the 300 block of North Rodeo Drive. Someone splashed coffee on one person and then used both hands to shove another person. 

Gunpoint robbery

At 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 21, a woman was robbed at gunpoint on the 200 block of South Camden Drive. The suspect was described as a 25-year-old male, 6-feet 2-inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. The victim reported a loss of $5,820. 

Chest bump 

At about 2:45 a.m. on Jan. 22, an assault occurred on the 300 block of North Oakhurst Drive. During a verbal altercation, a man shoved another person with his body.
