Police Arrest Robbery Suspects With Loaded Gun

The following arrest information was supplied by the Beverly Hills Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Beverly Hills police arrested two teenagers Jan. 26 after more than one reported incident of suspicious burglary activities in the areas of Calle Vista Drive and Lomitas and Crescent drives. A loaded gun was also found.

Nicholas Howell, 18, and Louis Taylor, 19, both of Los Angeles, were arrested at 1 a.m. Jan. 26. They were charged with robbery, conspiracy, vehicle tampering and possession of a loaded firearm.

On Jan. 25 at approximately 10:30 am, a security guard in the 1100 block of Calle Vista Drive, reported an attempted burglary to a vehicle by unknown male suspects. The guard described the suspect vehicle as a large SUV and provided the license plate number.

Units responded to the scene; however, were unable to locatethe vehicle. Twelve hours later, on Jan. 26 received another call from the same guard who advised that the vehicle had returned to the area.

Moments later a patrol supervisor located the vehicle in the area of Lomitas and Crescent drive and conducted an investigative stop. The subsequent investigation led to the discovery of a loaded gun, gloves and other evidence.
