Police Arrest Man Suspected of Breaking Into Cars in Beverly Hills

The man is also believed to be responsible for other crimes in the city.

Police have arrested a man suspected of vehicle theft in Beverly Hills.

Timothy Johnson, 28, fled from police on June 7 after being seen in the area of Hamel Drive north of Wilshire Boulevard, according to police. Authorities found "several unlocked ransacked vehicles" in the area.

Johnson was found hiding in a backyard in the 100 block of North Willaman Drive.

He was charged with receiving stolen property, petty theft and resisting arrest.

Johnson is on probation, according to police, and "is believed to be responsible for numerous other crimes in the area."
