Michael Lohan pleaded not guilty Monday at the Beverly Hills Courthouse to a misdemeanor count of Kate Major.
He was held in custody March 22 for allegedly preventing Major from calling 911, holding her against her will and causing her minor injuries, according to the police report.
Lohan was arrested near the West Hollywood Sheriff Station after deputies found him walking on the 8800 block of Santa Monica Boulevard and booked him on $200,000 bail, said Sgt. John Ratto.
The 51-year-old father of actress Lindsay Lohan was later transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after he complained of a medical condition not related to the incident, according to the sheriff's statement. He was cited for the charge and released from the hospital, according to City News Service.
Lohan is due back in Beverly Hills Superior Court on July 5 for trial on one count of corporal injury to a cohabitant. He faces a maximum sentence of one year in county jail if convicted.
