Man Wanted For Crime in Beverly Hills Arrested

The Beverly Hills Police Department assisted the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department Monday night in the capture of a man who was wanted for a crime in Beverly Hills and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

The arrest occurred at around 10 p.m. near the intersection of North Beverly Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard.

The man, who was driving a black-colored sedan, was followed and stopped by officers of the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department, who made the arrest, according to Lt. Terry Nutall, the watch commander on duty at Beverly Hills Police Station Monday night.

The suspect is now in the custody of the Beverly Hills Police Department, which will likely investigate the case, Nutall told Beverly Hills Patch. The watch commander said he could not disclose the alleged crime for which the man was arrested because the case is under investigation.

No further information about the incident was immediately available, Nutall said.

The police activity and arrest, assisted by a police helicopter, led to the closure of the stretch of North Beverly Hills Drive between South Santa Monica Boulevard and Brighton Way.
