Man Found Dead with Multiple Gunshot Wounds in Benedict Canyon

A man in his late 20s who suffered multiple gunshot wounds was found dead today at a home in the Benedict Canyon area, police said.

The death was reported about 4 p.m. by a business associate of the victim, whose body was found inside the single-family house in the 10000 block of Westwanda Drive, Los Angeles police Officer Raymond Barron said.

The associate reported finding the body after paying a visit to the house, Barron said.

Homicide detectives were sent to the scene to investigate and Westwanda Drive was closed to traffic, he said.
