The following information was supplied by the Beverly Hills Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Two transients were arrested by Beverly Hills police after allegedly stealing an iPhone from a man sitting on a bus and then fleeing.

Sandra Forbes, 33, and Justin Algiere, 20, were arrested at 11:40 a.m. Aug. 20 in the 100 block of North Hamilton Drive in connection to the robbery.

Police responded to the intersection of La Cienega and Wilshire boulevards for a report of a street robbery of an iPhone. The male victim was seated on a bus looking down, texting on his phone, when the male suspect, Algiere, grabbed the phone and a struggle ensued.

The phone was forced from the victim's hands and the suspect fled on foot with a female accomplice, Forbes.

Within minutes responding officers located the two, made the arrests and recovered the iPhone.
