A handyman who stole an $8,000 Rolex Submariner watch from a home in Beverly Grove was sentenced today to nearly three years in prison.
Ricardo Orozco, 39, pleaded no contest in January to a felony count of receiving stolen property.
Orozco was working as a handyman for a Beverly Grove family when the homeowner's son realized his watch was missing from his bedroom on April 20, 2013.
Investigators discovered that Orozco had pawned the watch a day later. They matched the pawnshop watch to the missing Submariner based on its serial number and receipts, according to the District Attorney's Office.
Orozco was convicted of robbery in 2005.
