A food truck flouting parking restrictions outside Al's Newsstand on South Beverly Drive Friday turned out to be part of a reality television show shoot.

A camera operator, soundman and several producers kept the crowd at bay as the Great Food Truck Race filmed part of its fourth season.

Inside the truck were the three members of The Slide Show, what seemed to a be newly-established burger enterprise.

The Slide Show team told us they hailed from Los Angeles, though the premise of the show will bring them across the country.

The show gives chefs the chance to own and operate their very first food truck and then pits them in a cross-country competition, according to the show's website.
