The annual event celebrates the work firefighters do to keep our community safe.
The Beverly Hills Firemen's Association sponsored Fire Service Day 2012 Saturday at the headquarters at 445 N. Rexford Drive.
"Beverly Hills' fire department has been providing service to the community for years and years and the Firemen's Association puts on this event every year to help show the community all the different services we provide," Beverly Hills Fire Captain Dean Viana told Patch. "This is everything coming out of the firefighters' pocketbook. We all chip in our money every day with our dues to hold this event. It's an open house for the fire department."
Viana said that this time around, "The crowd is larger than usual."
