'Cosmic Artist' Jack Armstrong Arrested on Rape Count

Beverly Hills police detectives arrest artist at Eagle Rock home stemming from investigation into 2010 rape. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Beverly Hills police detectives, along with a multi-county investigation, arrested self-proclaimed "Cosmic Artist" Jack Armstrong on Friday, Nov. 22, based on a $100,000 arrest warrant issued by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office charging one count of rape. Police responded to a home in Eagle Rock to make the arrest.

The investigation of the alleged rape occurred in Beverly Hills in 2010.

Armstrong was booked at the Beverly Hills Police Department jail and released after posting bond. He is scheduled to appear for arraignment at the LAX Branch of the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday, Dec. 20.

Armstrong’s criminal history includes a prior arrest for a similar type of sexual assault, according to police. Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance out of concern that Armstrong may have victimized other women using his so-called celebrity status.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Daniel Chilson of the Beverly Hills Police Department at 310-285-2159.
