CERT Emergency Prepardness Training Offered to Beverly Hills Businesses

City offers free classes to help businesses prepare for major disasters.

In any kind of disaster, it is very important that businesses and its employees
are prepared.

This November, the City of Beverly Hills Community Emergency Response Team
(CERT) will offer free classes to help businesses prepare for major disasters. Emergency responders, emergency management personnel and trained volunteers will provide information customized for the Beverly Hills business community.

Training Modules Include:

  • Disaster Preparedness
  • Fire Safety and Utility Controls
  • Medical Operations Part I
  • Medical Operations Part II 
  • Light Search and Rescue 
  • CERT Organization 
  • Disaster Psychology 
  • Terrorism and CERT 
  • Disaster Simulation
Training dates
  • Mon., Nov. 18, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Tue., Nov. 19, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

A free CERT class for residents will be held in the spring of 2014. Support for this program comes from the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, the Brucker Foundation and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
