Black Suburban Van Left Area Around Calle Vista Tuesday Night

Police continue to seek a second suspect in a burglar in the 1100 block of Calle Vista.

 

Beverly Hills police are still seeking a man suspected in a robbery in the 1100 block of Calle Vista Drive Tuesday evening.

Sgt.  Robert Maycott said investigators have learned that a black "older model Suburban" left the area around the time of the incident.

He did police are not sure whether the car is connected to the crime or not.

Police arrested one of two alleged burglars Tuesday night soon after they arrived at the 1100 block of Calle Vista in response to a 911 call.

A  resident noticed two men hop over a fence and enter it a residence on the street. When police arrived, they saw the men leaving with duffle bags. 

One ran out on the street and was arrested. The second climbed over a back fence, and ran away, which is when police locked down the area for approximately four hours in a futile search. 

The suspect is described as an African-American in his 40s with a thin build. He was wearing all dark clothing with a hat covering his ears.
