BHPD to Ride for Fallen Officers, Including One of Their Own

Members of BHPD will cycle from New Jersey to Washington, D.C. over the next few days in and effort to raise money for the Police Memorial located in D.C.

From the Beverly Hills Police Department:

Members of BHPD will cycle from New Jersey to Washington, D.C. over the next few days in and effort to raise money for the Police Memorial located in D.C.

The Police Unity Tour's motto is, "We ride for those who died." This year's ride has a special meaning to us as BHPD still mourns the tragic loss of Detective Gabriel Coyoca. Gabe passed away on Dec. 23, 2013 after a heroic battle with leukemia.

Here is a photo of a New Jersey Motor Officer holding a BHPD patch with the number 348 (Gabe Coyoca's badge number) embroidered onto it. We miss you Gabe and you will never be forgotten.

Standing next to the Motor Officer are BHPD Officers who just finished a training ride before the actual Tour ride which starts tomorrow.
