BHPD Apprehends Car Chase Suspect

The chase started in Beverly Hills when police attempted to pull over a vehicle.

Beverly Hills police were led on a car chase Friday that ended when the suspect lost control while driving at the La Brea Avenue exit of the eastbound Santa Monica Freeway.

Officers had conducted a warrant check on the vehicle involved in the chase at about 5:40 p.m. on South La Cienega Boulevard and Gregory Way in Beverly Hills.

The warrant “came back as an armed and dangerous vehicle,” BHPD Lt. Lincoln Hoshino said. “The officers attempted to perform a stop and the suspect fled.”

After losing control of the vehicle, the suspect fled on foot. He was caught and taken into custody without further incident around 5:50 p.m., Hoshino said.
