BHFD Responds to Fire at Actor's Home

The Beverly Hills Post Office home of Alex Pettyfer, who stars in the film "I Am Number Four," catches fire.

The Beverly Hills Fire Department assisted Los Angeles firefighters Thursday evening after the North Beverly Drive home of actor Alex Pettyfer caught fire. No injuries were reported.

The blaze was called in at 5:41 p.m. at 1376 N. Beverly Dr., Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department said. The home lies outside Beverly Hills’ city limits but still uses the 90210 ZIP code (otherwise known as the Beverly Hills Post Office). Firefighters arriving at the scene reported seeing flames showing from a detached garage, Scott said.

KCAL9 reported that Pettyfer, 20, was at The Grove on Thursday to walk the red carpet for the premiere of his film Beastly, which co-stars Vanessa Hudgens. He did interviews and introduced the film but left shortly after, presumably to deal with the fire, according to KCAL9.
