UPDATED: Beverly Hills Police Re-Open N. Rexford Drive After Bomb Scare

City Hall, the library and the police department remain open for business.

UPDATE at 1:47 p.m.: The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Bomb Squad determined that the device was not a threat. Rexford Drive is now open.

The Beverly Hills Police Department reports a suspicious package in the 400 Block of North Rexford Drive has prompted officers to shut the street to vehicle and pedestrian access from Burton Way to Santa Monica Boulevard. 

An advisory notes that the library/City Hall and police department are all open for business.

"Please access the parking garage via the Civic Center entrance. The Rexford Drive entrance is closed," says a Beverly Hills PD notice.
