Armed Robbery Video Released; Suspects Sought

BHPD offers $50,000 reward.

Authorities on Thursday released security video of an armed robbery at a Beverly Hills jewelry store and announced a reward of up to $50,000 for help in finding and convicting the suspects and recovering the stolen pieces.

The crime occurred on Jan. 25 about 6:50 p.m. at Jason of Beverly Hills, in the 9500 block of Wilshire Boulevard, said Beverly Hills police Sgt. Renato Moreno.

"A male and female suspect posed as customers and asked the sales clerk to show them several pieces of jewelry," Moreno said. "As the clerk was showing the couple the jewelry, a (male) suspect entered the store and produced a handgun."

The suspects were described as black and about 25-30 years old. The gunman may have been wearing a fake beard.
