Update: Actor Michael Nouri Arrested for Domestic Battery in Beverly Hills

Nouri allegedly roughed up his girlfriend. He is released on $50,000 bail.

Update 3:54 p.m.

The incident occurred on the 600 block of North Palm Drive. Police responded after a 911 call was received reporting unknown trouble. 

According to the Beverly Hills Police Department:

Michael Nouri was placed under arrest and charged with243(e) (1) P.C. Battery (Against Person in Dating Relationship), 236 P.C. False Imprisonment, and 591.5 P.C. Obstruct use of Wireless Device.

Nouri was released from custody after posting $50,000.00 bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Beverly Hills Courthouse on Nov. 30, 2012.

Actor Michael Nouri, who was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery for allegedly roughing up his girlfriend Thursday at his Beverly Hills home, was released Friday on $50,000 bail, police said.

Nouri, 66, was taken into custody after officers went to his residence about 5:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Beverly Hills police Lt. Lincoln Hoshino, who said the actor's girlfriend suffered minor injuries. Her name was not released.

Nouri was booked on suspicion of domestic battery, false imprisonment and vandalism, Hoshino said. Bail was set at $50,000 and he was released about 1 a.m.

According to TMZ.com, the actor, whose film credits include Flashdance and The Proposal, was arrested after "cops observed Nouri's girlfriend with visible marks."
