Update: 76-Year-Old Beverly Hills Woman Found in Playa del Rey

The woman, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, wandered off from the 100 block of North Wetherly Drive Friday night.

Update: Irene Hansel was found Saturday afternoon in Playa del Rey.

"A good Samaritan found her wandering on the streets in Playa del Rey about 2 p.m., checked her medical bracelet and called police," Beverly Hills Police Lt. Michael Foxen told City News Service.

"She was in good health and was reunited with her family," Foxen said.

It is still not known how she made her way from Beverly Hills to Playa del Rey.

Irene Hansel was last seen around 8:45 p.m. near her residence in the 100 block of North Wetherly Drive, near Wilshire Boulevard, according to Beverly Hills police.

She is white, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs approximately 140-150 pounds and has brown hair. She was wearing a dark gray T-shirt, a black, white and gray skirt and a medical bracelet.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts was urged to contact the Beverly Hills police watch commander at (310) 285-2125.
