3 Men Arrested For Alleged Armed Robbery in Beverly Hills

A fourth suspect escapes and is being sought.

Three young male suspects were in custody Friday night, facing charges related to two armed holdups in Beverly Hills, police said.

The suspects were arrested in a laneway off the 8800 block of Wilshire Boulevard, between Doheny Drive and Robertson Boulevard, at 9:45 p.m. Friday, minutes after the second holdup, Beverly Hills Police Lt. Renato Moreno said.

A fourth suspect escaped and is still being sought, Moreno said.

The suspects confronted a person at the corner of Whitworth and South Wetherly drives around 9:34 p.m., escaping with an unknown amount of property.

As police responded, they were flagged and told of another armed robbery that had just occurred nearby, Moreno said.

At least one suspect in the second robbery was armed with a gun, Moreno said.

No other suspect information was available and police were still investigating, he said.
