Got shredding?

On your mark...get set...SHRED!

If piles of personal paperwork have got you down because they contain confidential information you haven’t been able to safely get rid of, then head down to Angel Stadium on Sunday, June 29th for Los Angeles Shred-a-thon 2013!

From 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., you can bring up to five (5) file boxes or paper grocery bags full of personal records like tax records, old bills and such to be shredded. All shredding will be recycled. The cost? There is none; it’s free! Good for the environment and good for your pocketbook!

However, be sure plastic bags, binders, folders, computer disks, laminated paper and other nonpaper materials have been removed ahead of time.

In addition to paper, electronic waste such as old computers can also be brought to the site for proper disposal.

Last year 34.6 tons of paper were shredded and recycled meaning 104 cubic yards of landfill were saved and 588 trees were spared. You not only protect your identity by shredding but you’re helping protect valuable resources.

If you're unable to make the event on Sunday, places such as ShredIt, Safe Shred, and even Goodwill Industries offer shredding solutions for a fee.

Otherwise, take advantage of this terrific opportunity to get rid of paperwork that’s weighing you and your space down. For more details, visit www.AAA.com/shredathon and get your shred on!
