Join the Walk-and-Gawk Stroll Down Wilshire on Tuesday

Check out the store windows while getting to know your neighbors during this evening outing.

On Tuesday, Dec. 27, Beverly Hills residents and friends are invited to join the "Winter Walk-and-Gawk Down Wilshire."

Participants will meet at at 5 p.m., with the walk expected to be over at about 8 p.m. The first five people who sign up for the walk by tweeting @NetWalkers90210 will receive a  gift card. The group will stroll the sidewalks of Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards, chitchat and browse store windows.

One store window that will be gawked belongs to  on Wilshire. As part of Barneys' annual charity work, 46 paintings by second-graders from Larchmont Charter School in West Hollywood are on exhibit at the store.

"We invited the children of Larchmont Charter School, West Hollywood, to paint a portrait of performer Lady Gaga, who has also established the anti-bullying Born This Way Foundation," said Donald Ahsue, creative director at the Beverly Hills Barneys. "These one-of-a-kind artworks are for sale. One hundred percent of all proceeds benefit Larchmont School in West Hollywood."
