Commentary submitted by Beverly Hills resident Alice Torre.

On Sunday evening after a wonderful dinner at Il Pastaio with my daughter, I witnessed a driving incident just outside of the restaurant.

The manager of Il Pastaio was escorting an elderly woman to her car near the corner of the intersection of Canon Drive and Brighton Way. As the woman was getting into the passenger side of the car a man in a SUV turned the corner behind her and began to beep his horn constantly while screaming to the driver in front of him to pull forward.

It would have been very easy for him to pull around the car and be on his way. Instead he continued to shout and lay on his horn.

As a resident I am frustrated and disgusted at witnessing this level of disrespect towards an elderly woman.

Sadly, I have witnessed similar rudeness with drivers in Beverly Hills and I think it is time that we as a community address this issue.

The residents of Beverly Hills act like this towards everyone. I live on Reeves Dr and people speed down the street - never get pulled over. They lay on the horn if you take more than a second to park. Even when Im in the crosswalks they blow through stops signs. The parking and police enforcement have time to give me a ticket when I forget to put my pass up BUT never pull over the bentley's and bmw's that go 70 on a residential street. The air of entitlement in BH is worse than the smog in LA!

Not everyone does that, just the kids, and if that's all you're focusing on, that is all you will see, look a little more around

Admittedly, I have seen my fare share of not-so-friendly adult drivers and passengers. A couple days before getting the above submission from Ms. Torre, I had a similar experience outside one of the hotels...getting into my car at valet and two 40-something males honking and yelling out their window at me before I even had the chance to step foot in my car. There was plenty of room to drive around me. I don't think it's fair to blame the "kids." Many kids are better behaved than some of the adults I meet. Best, Marie

@Marie Cunningham .. yes that's true, and when I say "kids" I mean people not mature enough at all, or just plain not intelligent enough to solve the problem by them driving around, and keeping their out-of-control attitude in check

You know, I really don't know very much about <aRead More href="http://www.beanlandmoving.ca/en/">moving companies</a>. Could anyone give any good referrals or pointers? I feel pretty lost.
