The preservationist buyer who helped has been revealed as Paris Hilton's ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos III, according to Curbed LA.
Built in 1955, the Kronish House was designed by master architect Richard Neutra. It sold at a January 2011 foreclosure auction for $5.8 million and was placed on the market in April of that year for about $14 million.
Niarchos bought the property late last year for $12.8 million. The Beverly Hills home spans nearly 7,000 square feet on a 2-acre lot at 9439 Sunset Blvd.
The heir to a Greek shipping fortune, Niarchos dated Hilton in 2005 and 2006. Their relationship was popular fodder for gossip magazines and websites.
