Walden Family Services, a non-profit foster care and adoption agency, invites you to its Inaugural Cocktail Reception, Thursday, June 12th at Doma in Beverly Hills.
Nationally, approximately 400,000 children and youth are in the foster care system, with more than 18,500 in Los Angeles County. The Inaugural Cocktail Reception will shine light on these staggering statistics and help raise awareness for the foster care system and on adoptive services. The event will include cocktails and hor d’oeuvres as well as a brief program highlighting Walden's services.
The evening will also include a special guest speaker – actress Joely Fisher. Joely and her husband adopted their daughter, Olivia, in 2008 and now advocate for domestic adoption and the foster care system. Joely encourages prospective parents to look no further than their own communities to find children who are in need of homes and families.
