We offer FREE, quarterly Community Sustainability Workshops for people ready to take on the role of making their community more sustainable.


Choose from a variety of trainings:

Rainwater Harvesting

Want to install a rain barrel but not sure how? Thinking about ripping out your lawn, but not sure where to begin? Learn how simple DIY projects can maximize your ability to harvest the rain. Save water, save money and make your home the envy of all!



Native Plants and Turf Reduction

Want a “green garden” but not sure where to begin? Learn how to reduce your water bill, and create a lovely addition to your home or school. You’ll get the basics of native plant selection and care, learn how to update your sprinkler system and get all your need to make your landscape truly sustainable and lovely!



Citizen Forestry: Tree Planting

Want your neighborhood street, school or park to be a bit greener? Thinking about planting trees in your community? But not sure where to start? We can help.

Learn the necessary steps to get your project off the ground and get more trees where you live, learn, where and play. Become a Citizen Forester and help us grow a greener city!



Outreach Leader Training

Be the face of TreePeople at public events! Introduce others to how TreePeople serves Los Angeles and explain all the ways they can get involved. Enthusiastic, outgoing and passionate leaders wanted!
