Wilshire Boulevard Closures Scheduled for March

Wilshire Boulevard at Sepulveda Boulevard will be closed to traffic at 10 p.m. Monday, as well as other dates in March, while crews work on the 405 Freeway overpass.

The eastbound lane of Wilshire Boulevard at Sepulveda Boulevard will be closed at 10 p.m. Monday as crews set the falsework for temporary bridge support, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

The construction is a crucial step in the widening of the 405 Freeway as part of the Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project, officials said.

According to Metro, more Wilshire Boulevard closures will follow through Friday and also on March 19. A full westbound closure is scheduled for Wednesday night. Eastbound and westbound lanes will not be closed at the same time, officials said.

  • Full eastbound Wilshire Boulevard closure on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Full westbound Wilshire Boulevard closure on Wednesday, Friday and March 19 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Traffic could be heavily impacted in and around the area, officials said.
