Name: Myra Lurie

Occupation: I have been a member of the Beverly Hills School Board since 2003. Before that I was PTA Counsel President and before that, a PTA president. Professionally, I am an attorney.

How long have you lived in Beverly Hills? Since 1986.

What is the city's most important issue? The quality of our schools.

If you could change one thing about Beverly Hills, what would it be? I would make sure all residents were active participants in Beverly Hills, exercising their right to vote.

What is your favorite Beverly Hills memory? My favorite memory would have to be listening to the Beatles [tribute] band summer concert outside the library. The whole city was dancing to Beatles music...it was a blast!

Name something you've always wanted to do here but have been too nervous or busy to try. I've been too busy to finalize the publication of my book about Beverly Hills entitled Lima Beans and Limousines.

Where's your favorite place in town to eat, shop or relax? Sports Club LA because I relax, get fit and catch up on good information with friends.
