What is the city's most important issue: I think it is is pretty much like everywhere else. Finances and the city's ability to keep providing the amazing public services that we have here; police and fire departments and the public school system.

If you could change one thing about Beverly Hills, what would it be: Well, as long as I get my fantasy wish that is certainly not based in reality, I used to enjoy riding my bike all over the city without worrying about traffic. Also, this was a small village-type environment with a few office buildings, etc. Those days are gone also, but I think we all have to keep in mind the financial benefit that has resulted from Beverly Hills' growth.

What is you favorite Beverly Hills memory: The great times I had in high school with friends. We were all pretty much home grown and grew up playing sports together in 7th and 8th grades and then through high school. I don't think that it's an accident that those friendships I formed then are still there today. It's hard to express how meaningful friendships become through being together 40–50 years. Really, it's one of the reasons that so many of  us are still here in the city, or nearby, and involved somehow.

Name something you've always wanted to do here but been nervous or too busy to try: To serve in some capacity as a community activist. As my kids grow and leave the house, I hope to be able to do that.

Where is your favorite place in town to eat, shop or relax: Porta Via in large part due to the fact that I taught Peter Garland, the owner, in elementary school. Other than that, I like to have people over to our house and go over to their houses to sit around, talk and relax

Describe Beverly Hills in three words: Proud, dignified, and home.
