A cold front is expected to reach into Los Angeles County by Friday evening, dumping heavy rain on the area into Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The storm is likely to produce between a quarter-inch and a half-inch of rain in coastal and valley areas, and between a half-inch and an inch in the mountains and foothills.
National Weather Service forecasters predict that Saturday will be dry, with rain returning on Sunday. Temperature lows will continue to hover around the upper 40s.
