Church of the Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills is holding its annual Mariachi Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12.
The Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the New World, is a day that has been celebrated in Mexico for almost five centuries and by Latinos in the U.S. Southwest for about half as long, according to the Huffington Post.
All are welcome to attend Good Shepherd's mass. A reception will follow in the parish hall. The church is located at 505 North Bedford Drive.
Good Shepherd was founded Dec. 12, 1923, just nine years after Beverly Hills was incorporated. It also has an attached school for grades pre-K through eight.
