No Cocaine Found in Houston's Hotel Room

Several bottles of pills were recovered, according to the L.A. County coroner's office.

No cocaine was found in the Beverly Hilton hotel room where , even though the drug was found in her system, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office released the 48-year-old singer's autopsy results Thursday, in which is stated that the final cause of death was "drowning" and the "effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use."

Ed Winter, deputy chief of the Los Angeles County coroner's office, said several bottles of pills were recovered—but no cocaine. Winter said the amounts of cocaine and other drugs in her system will not be known for a few more weeks.

Houston was found Feb. 11  at the , where she was expected to attend Clive Davis' pre-Grammy Awards party. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her autopsy was conducted Feb. 12.

The Times reports that in addition to cocaine, the drugs marijuana, Xanax, Flexeril and Benadryl were found in Houton's body. Xanax is traditionally used as an anxiety treatment, Flexeril is a muscle relaxant, and Benadryl addresses allergies and can be used as a sleep aid.
