Lohan Fails Drug Test, Tweets About It

Lindsay Lohan's failed drug test may bring another paparazzi-packed, traffic-snarling hearing to the Beverly Hills Courthouse.

More celebrity courthouse traffic may be coming to Burton Way in the near future now that Lindsay Lohan has failed a court-ordered drug test.

Last month Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Elden Fox ordered Lohan to report any positive or missed drug tests to the court within 72 hours.

"Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before Judge Fox next week as a result," Lohan tweeted at about 10 p.m. Friday night. "Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day."

Media outlet TMZ.com is reporting that the actress tested positive for cocaine.

"I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future," Lohan tweeted. "This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences."

Lohan was ordered to undergo random drug testing as part of her sentencing for a probation violation stemming from two DUI convictions.

Lohan remains under Fox's orders to stay in Los Angeles, submit to random drug and alcohol testing no less than twice a week, continue drug counseling and also attend behavioral therapy classes twice a week.

Fox has yet to set a date for Lohan's return to the Beverly Hills Courthouse since failing her drug test.

"I am so thankful for the support of my fans, loved ones and immediate family, who understand that I am trying hard, but also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else," Lohan went on to tweet. "I am keeping my faith, and I am hopeful....Thank you all!!!"
