Fire Danger Issued North of Sunset Blvd.

High winds are expected Friday afternoon. Parking has been restricted on some city roads.

A wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service is in effect for the Los Angeles area through 3 p.m. Friday. Winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 35 mph were expected throughout the afternoon. Some isolated gusts up to 40 mph are possible. 

Use caution when driving high-profile vehicles through the hills.

Beverly Hills residents are advised that current and expected weather conditions have created a severe fire danger in the northern section of the city designated as a "Very High Hazard Severity Zone." The has activated the city's "" program and will continue to monitor the situation.

Additionally, parking has been restricted along predetermined streets north of Sunset Boulevard due to the extreme fire weather conditions:

• Calle Vista Drive
• Schuyler Road
• La Altura Road
• El Retiro Way
• Miradero Road
