Ramps on the 405 Freeway between Getty Center Drive and the 101 Freeway could begin to close as early as 7 p.m. Friday when crews begin work on the Mulholland Bridge, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

All northbound lanes will be closed first at approximately 10 p.m., followed by the southbound lanes. All lanes in both directions will be closed by midnight and reopen at 5 a.m. Saturday, officials said.

According to Metro, crews will install temporary girder plates across the freeway lanes to support the bridge while the reconstruction takes place.
