USPS Approves Relocation of Beverly Hills Post Office

The postal service plans to sell its North Maple Drive location to open a less expensive facility nearby. No date has been set for the move.

The U.S. Postal Service announced Tuesday that it has approved the relocation of the Beverly Hills Post Office to a yet-to-be-determined location as close to the current site as possible.

USPS plans to sell the building, located at 325 N. Maple Drive, once operations are relocated. There is no set date for the move. All P.O. Box numbers and ZIP codes will remain the same.

"The Beverly Hills Post Office relocation and building sale is part of a nationwide response by the postal service to generate revenue, reduce costs and operate more efficiently in the face of dramatic decreases in mail volume, congressional mandates and other economic factors that have caused net losses of over $25 billion in the past five years," according to a USPS statement.
