Recycle This Weekend at Hazardous Waste Event

The city wants to help L.A. County residents safely get rid of waste.

The City of Beverly Hills wants to help residents recycle with this weekend's planned "Household Hazardous Waste and E-Waste Roundup Event."

Any resident of Los Angeles County can show up between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, for the event.

Hazardous waste includes any household product that is labeled toxic, including air fresheners, antifreeze and disinfectants while e-waste includes old or outdated electronic devices, including televisions, computers and microwaves.

There will be a limit of 15 gallons, or 125 pounds, of hazardous waste per trip.

A drive-through will also be set up in front of the Public Works Building on Foothill Road between Alden Drive and West Third Street.

To find out more about what items will be accepted at Saturday's event, call (800)238-0172, or visit 888-Clean-LA online.
