Lladró Boutique Celebrates 60 Years in Beverly Hills

The Beverly Hills boutique features Spanish porcelain pieces that have evolved in artistry and technique over the years.

For six decades, Lladró Boutique on Rodeo Drive has never stopped exploring the process of making porcelain, both the artistic and technical process.

The Spanish brand in Beverly Hills celebrated its 60th anniversary on Oct. 24, welcoming a special occasion with unique pieces from the Lladró Museum at The City or Porcelain in Valencia, Spain.

Rosa Lladró, daughter of Juan Lladró, the eldest of the three founding brothers hosted an exclusive evening of live performances, art and much more.

"For us now, we have all these techniques, so we are getting a lot of new porcelain figurines," Lladró tells Patch. "We keep adding. We have more than 4,000 colors. And from the beginning we have developed a lot of niches of our own and formula for coloring everything."

There were pieces specifically at the exhibit for the celebration, such as Passion and Soul and Allegory to the Peace, which intends to talk about Spain.

Lladró noted the styles of Spanish porcelain design have changed over the years

"In some ways, the message has been we have been trying and making a difference," she said. "We have the essence of the style and open to new possibilities."

Some pieces into home decor and tableware, Lladró noted that lighting is very strong now at the boutique.
