Senior Lawyers of the Beverly Hills Bar Association: Societas Reverenda

Our first event will be held on October 21, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Bergamot Station, Southern California's largest art gallery complex and cultural center. The evening starts at the Santa Monica Museum of Art (SMMoA) with a curator-guided tour of "Combustione: Albert Burri and America." Burri was a medical doctor during World War II. His unit was captured in northern Africa and, while interred in a Texas prisoner-of-war camp, he began his painting career. Burri's work has been exhibited throughout the world, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, Frumkin Gallery in Chicago, and the Pasadena and San Francisco Museums of Art.

Following our tour, we will enjoy a wine, beer and gourmet appetizer reception under the stars at the delightful Bergamot Cafe patio. The informal reception will afford ample opportunity to discuss Burri's artwork, network, and learn more about how you can become active in SR.
