Limiting Bad Fat in Your Diet

It's never a bad idea to eat less fat, but it is also important to not cut good fat out of the diet either.  While there are good fat is great to have, such as the ones from olive oil, avocado, flaxseed, and other food, that people should be eating, many adults still struggle with obesity due to over-consumption of bad fat and calories. As a result, here is a few ways we can cut back on those bad fat that is bad for our heart in our diet

  • Remove skin on your meat, and choose the protein that has less fat content
  • Before cooking, trim off any excess fat
  • Use a non-stick frying pan to reduce the need of added oil/fat
  • Use cooking methods like broil, roast, steam, and boil to avoid the need to fry your food.
Incorporate these tips and you are well on your way to a better physical health!
