Medical Emergencies: Why Is Rapid Fire Department Response So Important?

Learn why it is critical for the Beverly Hills Fire Department to arrive quickly on medical emergencies.

Rapid and early response in the event of a medical emergency saves lives. 

In Beverly Hills, getting paramedics and EMTs on scene in five minutes or less can make a life-saving difference for the patients experiencing critical medical emergencies.

According to the American Red Cross, sudden cardiac arrest patients can have a 50 percent chance of survival if paramedics and EMTs are able to get on scene within six minutes, but less than a 10 percent survival rate when it takes longer than 10 minutes to arrive on scene.
