Due to being rained out Wednesday morning, I will be in the garden Saturday, Dec. 29, around 10:30 a.m. I'll be picking kale and radishes, and feeding the worm farm. Please join me with your compost. The rain should have brought our veggies along at a rapid clip.
The garden is located near the greenhouse at the city-owned Greystone Estate (501 Doheny Road, Beverly Hills, CA 90210). It offers people a place to learn sustainable gardening and watering techniques for their own gardens. Beverly Hills Unified School District students can also earn community service credits by volunteering here. Produce grown are donated to local food banks and meal programs.
