The Marathons of Life

Beverly Hills resident Christine Redlin co-produced "My Run," an independent film about a man who runs 75 marathons in 75 days to bring awareness to the difficult lives of single-parent families.

Even with the in the not-so-distant past, it's time to look ahead to the 26.2-miler for 2012.

Need some inspiration? Catch up with My Run, an award-winning documentary about Terry Hitchcock. At the age of 57, Hitchcock ran the equivalent of 75 consecutive marathons in 75 consecutive days to raise awareness for single parents after losing his wife to breast cancer and raising three young children on his own.

The inspirational indie narrated by Billy Bob Thornton screens for one night only on Thursday, March 31 at 7 p.m. at AMC Century City 15. This location is one of more than 500 venues nationwide where the film will premier and the closest in proximity to Beverly Hills. Tickets are $12.50 and can be purchased online. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to LIVESTRONG, a foundation started by cyclist and cancer-survivor Lance Armstrong to support cancer research and cancer patients.

A voice-over talent as well, Redlin had the honor of reading a letter at the end of the film that Hitchcock's late wife, Sue, wrote to him.

"It's very touching. The whole film is uplifting and a love story about life, family and the human spirit," Redlin said. "It's about the marathons of life we all run each day."
