Photos: George Schlatter Receives Toast at Saban Theater

The television producer receives a proper tribute from Pepperdine University in Beverly Hills.

Pepperdine University is pleased hosted an evening celebration in tribute to an alumnus on Sept. 25, television producer and director George Schlatter, the award-winning creator and executive producer of the ground-breaking network series Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In, a sketch comedy in the 1970s.

Still Laugh-In: A Toast to George Schlatter at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills will also hosted by the Center for Entertainment, Media and Culture and Pepperdine University Libraries. The tribute serves as a benefit for the creation of the George Schlatter Comedy Collection at Pepperdine.

Featured guests included Larry King (evening host), Jay Leno (by video), Lily Tomlin, Billy Crystal, Shirley MacLaine, Kirk Douglas, Bruce Vilanch, Arte Johnson, Sarah Purcell, Jerry Weintraub, Berry Gordy and Tim Conway.
