Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Chooses New President
Hawk Koch is the next president of the Beverly Hills-based organization.
Producer Hawk Koch was elected president of the on Tuesday, succeeding Tom Sherak, who was barred from seeking re-election because of term limits.
Koch's producer credits include Losing Isiah and Gorky Park. He is a son of the producer and director Howard W. Koch, the academy's president from 1977-79.
Two weeks ago, six new members were , while three past members were chosen to return to the panel. Seven members were re-elected to remain in their posts.
