Volunteers Needed to Help Decorate Beverly Hills Centennial Float

Three Saturdays in December will be dedicated to decorating with dry goods, and the five days after Christmas will be devoted to decorating with flowers.

As part of the city's Centennial Celebration, Beverly Hills will be entering a float in the 2014 Tournament of Roses Parade.

The “Dreams Come True” float is designed and constructed by Phoenix Decorating Company, which has created 230 award-winning floats for the parade during their 30 years in business.

The city is recruiting volunteers to help finish the float. Three Saturdays in December will be dedicated to decorating with dry goods; and the five days after Christmas will be devoted to decorating with flowers.

Anyone interested in helping is welcome for as many days as they like, according to Beverly Hills officials. There is no requirement to be a Beverly Hills resident. Lunch or dinner will be provided.

Children 13 and over are also welcome. City shuttles will be provided if at least 20 people sign up for a shift. Paid parking is available.
